Why we minister
2 Corinthians 5:17-20 says this:
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” (NASB)
Our goal is to see people reconciled to God. It is what we seek to have our mind set on every time we gather. As each one of us come to know Jesus, we grow — and that growing doesn’t stop as long as there is breath in our lungs.
Every ministry at Payson Bible Church is designed to help people know God and know Him more. From the Sunday morning sermons to the nursery to times of prayer together, it’s all about being the people God wants us to be.
